Shirley Mann is a Derbyshire-based journalist who spent most of her career at the BBC. She is the author of five (soon to be six) much-loved novels about the lives of women who served during the Second World War, including Bobby’s War which won the Romantic Novelists’ Association Romantic Saga Award.
