Duncan Weldon

Duncan Weldon is an economist, writer and broadcaster who has worked for The Economist, Newsnight and Prospect magazine and made documentaries for BBC Radio 4. He began his career at the Bank of England, before working in asset management and then at the TUC.
He serves on the advisory board of the Centre for the Analysis of Comparative Advantage in the Global Economy at Warwick University, teaches policy skills through University College, London and writes a column for the University of Chicago. Duncan’s books 200 Years of Muddling Through: The Surprising Story of the British Economy and Blood & Treasure: The Economics of Conflict from the Vikings to Ukraine are out now.
