Dan Jarvis MBE is the Labour MP for Barnsley Central and a Government Minister of State in the Home Office and Cabinet Office. Before becoming an MP he was an officer in the Parachute Regiment between 1997-2011, rising to the rank of Major. His memoir about his time in the army, Long Way Home, won Best Memoir in the Parliamentary Book Awards.
